If you are a fan of strawberries, then you will love this cake! It is very moist and filled with fresh strawberry flavor. I highly recommend it!
1 pkg. white cake mix
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup water
1 tbsp. flour
4 eggs
3/4 cups crushed strawberries
1 pkg. strawberry gelatin
Mix together the cake mix, water and the oil, beat in the eggs, one at a time. Next beat in the flour, gelatin and strawberries. Mix well and spoon into a buttered and floured 9x13 inch cake pan. Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean when stuck into the center of the cake and it is beginning to pull away from the sides of the pan. Cool completely, then frost with the strawberry icing.
Strawberry Icing:
1/2 cup butter, softened (1 stick)
3/4 cup crushed strawberries
4-6 cups powdered sugar
Starting with 4 cups of the powdered sugar, eat all the ingredients together until smooth and thick. Add more powdered sugar as needed to get the right consistency. Spread on the cooled cake and enjoy!
